Company Profile

For over 40 years the partners in Firehouse have been involved in various branches of Music, Arts and Media.

These include running a Recording Studio, Professional Song Writing, P.A. and Lighting Hire Service, TV Production, Events Management and Promotion, Tuition, Local Theatre, Fund Raising, and Media Services.

A desire to concentrate this knowledge and experience brought the partners together in 1999 and the old town morgue and fire station were secured as premises.

Firehouse Recording Studios Cumbria

The next few years were spent designing, building and developing the facility, with it's official opening The Morgue Project taking place on 29th June 2002. An upgrading of the Studio to a full TDM facility in December 2003 gave a rebirth of the project and a change of the company name to FIREHOUSE STUDIOS Ltd. Firehouse Studios is a self funding organisation, with all profits being used to fund local arts projects and/or improve the services we offer.
